thank you #11. so far, at least on the slog, we're getting a whole bunch of really right-brained, logical, science-obsessed proponents of the moon bombing, which is great, but it definitely doesn't represent the whole of popular opinion on the topic. to some of us, the moon isn't "just a dead hunk of rock", it is our nearest celestial neighbor, who rules our tides, contributes to our weather cycles, and is a major contributor to the miraculous existence of life on this planet. the moon has been a constant and familiar face through our lives and the lives of our ancestors, and is a prominent character in much of our world's mythology and social narrative. whats more, scientists don't know for sure what will happen if they bomb the moon or really what they're doing at least half the time, so i'd like to offer people a few links just to represent an other side to this moon bombing argument. maybe i can't tell you why in the terms that you need to hear in order to be able to understand, but bombing the moon is a bad idea, and i hope that space ship falls out of the sky...

I'm not too up on this bombing the moon thing, but are they advocating a hydrazine payload get dropped on our heads?
